Corporate events and daily office meals are most of our work: conferences, all-hands meetings, executive dinners, IPO celebrations, hackathons and holiday parties. We also cater weddings, rehearsal dinners, private celebrations and nonprofit galas, from 20 guests to 500 or more. For formal events we offer plated service; for offices, Handheld Express delivers boxed meals and buffets next-day with a $200 minimum.
Yes. Every menu on this site is a starting point. Tell us the occasion, the headcount and the dietary needs and we build the menu around them, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes marked. Private tastings are available for weddings and large events.
Boxed meals run $14.25 to $35 per person, corporate lunch catering $18 to $75, and full-service event catering $90 to $300 and up, all before taxes and fees. Wedding menus start at $75 per person for a cocktail reception. The San Jose page carries the full table; every quote is custom.
Yes. We arrange tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware and larger items such as canopies, stages and dance floors through longtime rental partners, and we staff servers and bartenders. We carry liquor liability insurance; bar service runs one bartender per 100 guests for beer and wine, or one per 75 for a full bar.
Our kitchen is at 1725 De La Cruz Blvd #1 in Santa Clara and our San Jose office at 99 S Almaden Blvd #659. We cater throughout Santa Clara, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto and the rest of Silicon Valley, and we bring a pop-up kitchen to venues that have none.
